Um Ashaninka estava no barranco. Ele embarcou na canoa, pegou a flecha e flechou um curimatá. Voltou para casa, chegou, deu o peixe para a mulher. Ela pegou e cozinhou. Ficou cozido o curimatá, ai chamou o marido:
- Vem comer, meu marido, o curimata está cozido.
Comeu mais o marido. Aí o marido disse:
- Obrigado.
Ele pegou os ossos e deu para o cachorro.
O nome desse homem é Horero.

An Ashaninka was in the ravine. He got into the canoe, picked up the arrow, and shot a fish. He returned home, arrived, gave the fish to the woman. She picked it up and cooked it. The fish was cooked, then she called her husband:
- Come eat, my husband, the fish is cooked.
The husband ate as well. Then the husband said:
- Thank you.
He took the bones and gave them to the dog.
This man's name is Horero.

Un ashaninka estaba en el monte. Embarcó en la canoa, agarró la flecha y flechó un pez. Regresó a casa, llegó, dio el pez a su esposa. Ella lo tomó y lo cocinó. El pez quedó cocido, luego llamó a su marido
